After a three-year hiatus, the Newport Beach International Boat Show (NBIBS) needed a complete revival in three months. The challenge was to rebuild the event from the ground up, including strategy, advertising, design, production, and more, while ensuring a successful turnout and engagement from brokers, boat manufacturers, and potential buyers.
Solution
My team handled all aspects of the show’s marketing and execution, from environmental graphics to advertising strategy. Despite the tight timeline, we successfully brought the show back to life, attracting 15,000 visitors over the weekend. The event allowed brokers and boat manufacturers to expand their market reach and engage with prospective buyers.
Outcomes
The event’s success led to the immediate securing of NBIBS 2024, which grew even more significant, bringing in over 20,000 visitors from across the country. Building on this momentum, we also launched the San Diego International Boat Show (SDIBS) alongside NBIBS 2024 and will introduce the Chicago International Boat Show in 2025.
